I'm selling my 96 limited. It has the locker. ODO shows 167,000 miles and I changed all belts, water pump, and timing belt at 160,000. I drove it from Anchorage Alaska to Houston, Texas and it never used a bit of oil or any other fluid!. I'm asking $4500. [email protected]

I bought a new switch for my rear window. When it didn't work, I finally figured it out. OMG, silly

The new belt is just stretching. You need to tighten it. I had the same on my a/c belt. Damn thing would squawk every time my a/c came on, which in Texas is a bunch!

I'ts a 20 min job on the passenger side, 2 hours for the driver's side. lol

I had a misfire once and raw fuel got in the catalytic converter. The fuel ignited and melted the honeycomb inside and restricted exhaust flow. Worst case I guess..

You can do just the passenger side without removing the intake. You're not so lucky if you do the driver's side. Just the passenger side will take you about half an hour. Both will be more like 2 hours. :P

I have the same problem. I even replaced the entire latch with a new one. I am thinking the culprit is the cable.

I just finished taking HID's off my car. I don't like them, plus the ones I had were not dual stage. No Hi-Beam. I was also pulled over for no reason (profiled) because of these things.

Are any check engine lights on? maybe speed sensor, shift solenoid. Go here: 1996 to 2002 Toyota 4Runner OEM Repair and Wiring Manuals and research some of the symptoms and see if any match yours. I had a bad 1st shift solenoid. I diagnosed it from the symptom table. It wasn't fun, but...

My tires were rubbing the inner liners of the fenders. I just cut them to clear.

time to download the service manual and get out your multimeter to do some diagnosing. I had a seized power lock motor on one door. It might just be one of the snap connectors? I also had a corroded switch for the rear window. A little cleaning and it works like a charm.

Well, I did it last night. Took me 2 hrs total. Everything seems to be fine so far! The worst part was messing with that stupid gasket goop.

I bought 2 of them. I should have them by this weekend. We'll see. :D I'm thinking it is pretty easy too. I don't know.

No one else has done this? Now I'm scared. lol
