    One more V6 vs V8 ?

From what I've been able to dig up they build 4Runners at 2 plants in Japan, one in Tahara and one at the Hino plant in Hamura which is about 15 minutes away from where I live. I've often seen car carriers rolling by with 4Runners and Tacos so I knew there was something major nearby but I...

    One more V6 vs V8 ?

Classic example of the essence of every post on this entire thread that opinions are like @$$holes and everybody's got one. arra asked and received many. I didn't ask and received a few responses. What's the value of the opinion that no one asked for? Kind of reminds me of Point-Counterpoint...

    One more V6 vs V8 ?

There were three sentences in my original post. The last two emphasize that this was my opinion which along with $1.25 will buy arra a cup of coffee. How am I an elitist if you tell arra the decision is a "no brainer" based solely on towing capacity? Implying that arra's predicament is a no...

    One more V6 vs V8 ?

Sure it is. If you can't afford to own it up front and over the life of your ownership experience, then it's not in the picture. Every 4Runner owner made their choice in part based on affordability. Either they got a bargain, or they settled for what they could afford and their available...

    One more V6 vs V8 ?

It all boils down to what you can afford now and for the life of your ownership experience. I can afford a v-8 and have the philosophy that there is no replacement for displacement. For my day to day needs a V-6 would do the trick but I like a bigger engine if I can afford one.

Experiance with Carsdirect.Com or on-line dealers??

I asked the same question in a different thread and got varid responses. I got one person that said it was great and the only downside was getting someone at the dealer to help him take care of the paperwork since the salesmen wanted to stiff walk-ins. Another said they got a better quote from...

Should I wait for the V8?

If you can truly afford to own the V-8, you should wait for it. There is no replacement for displacement and you'd rather have a V-8 and not need it than need it and not have it.

Should I sell my truck and get an Altima?

What if you sold your 4Runner and bought a good used 4Runner that's a 2nd or 3rd Gen vehicle?

Anyone regretting buying a 4Runner with the new Pathfinder out now?

Is Toyota any better? I'm not looking forward to eating parts and labor costs from the stealership 5-10 years after buying my new 4Runner.

4th gen v8 start motor location

Sorry that took so long but I had a '93 Cherokee and the engine was great but the build quality was horrible. It was a shame because the thing was a mountain goat but it just wasn't put together very well. I appreciate your read on this.
