scion ipod
The strength of the scion unit is you can directly connect the ipod and control through the head unit. The downside and this is my opinion is that navigation is slow and a bit of a pain, I would almost prefer to control the ipod at the ipod but display tracks etc on the headunit...
When I first put a scion head unit in the 4runner and only attached the one antennae I did not have the same reception as the stock radio. When I hooked up both cables to the scion headunit I did have better reception. So I have to believe that there is value in using both plugs, despite the...
I suspect you can get your aux and ipod to work but you will need the two toyota cables from scion(the one that plugs into the back of the radio, and the one the connects to the ipod) as well as the aftermarket 12234 cable to join the two. I am not sure if the scion ipod end cable has the...
No it is an aftermarket thing. Basically I suspect the guy is taking Ipod cables and splicing in the connector that fits in the back of the radio. Of course you need to know which wires to use and to splice into.
It looks very nice, much improved over the older version. I have the ipod cable coming. It is a nice fit and is plug and play. More options than the earlier scion radios. I will not have a chance to take pics till next week. However, it looks exactly like it does on scion web sites...
Just plug in the one cable that fits and tie up the other one. I just did that this morning as I installed the 1809 into my ride. I did not notice a decrease in reception using the single antenna cable. Oh yea that 1809 is very sweet looking. I am waiting on the Ipod sc12235 cable to...
yes, I used Sonus as the quick detailer type spray. It works well. It is also a great after a car wash. Basically it is not a detail spray but a dilute form of the Klasse Sealant. And for the record I read the instructions, I wanted actual users comments about how they used the product and...
How hard was it to take off the Klasse 2nd step, paint sealant? I find that to be a job unless I wipe it off almost as soon as I have applied it. Your car looks great. I have also done the 2 step thing also with similar results.
Yes I put them in an 04 4runner and an 04 accord. Love them. Brighter and slightly more white than stock. They are not a direct fit, you have to trim the base, no big deal, just use a nail clippers. 9011 and 12s have a slightly different base than 9005 and 9006s. I highly recommend...
Since no one seemed interested I did not bother. Then when local contractors scratched the trucks paint, I also lost interest in the shine when I have major scratches on it. They are fixed. Now I will go and take some pics. The Klasse is very good stuff.
