How to remove light bulbs? I pulled out my climate control console and got the replacement bulbs from the dealer. I don't have a screwdriver small enough to turn the bulbs to remove them. How did you get the out?

CV Boots inner clips - where to buy

mine are missing too Dealership said my CV boots separate from both axles and spilled grease everywhere. They wanted to replace both of them. I told them not to touch it. When I went home and checked, the inner CV boots are definitely separated but the clamps are missing on both sides. How...

    '03 V8 4Runner - Replacing Sparkplugs

done. Alright, that was easy enough. The only trouble I ran into were the two rusted bolts. After cleaning the bolts, having a proper hex socket provided enough grip to get them loose. I ended up replacing the 2 rusted bolts. For someone who hasn't done this in more than 20 years, pulling...

    '03 V8 4Runner - Replacing Sparkplugs

almost there I managed to get 6 of them changed. It was easier than I thought. All the old sparkplugs look great. All of them were also tightened to about 7.5 ft lbs according to my trusty torque wrench. The coil bolts were 15 ft lbs. Now for the 2 most forward sparkplugs, I couldn't get...

How many miles considered normal for brake pads?

20K only... I have a 03 V8 and I'm a pretty relaxed driver. I don't tow anything either. I seem to be changing my brake pads about every 30K. I thought that wasn't normal but never really gave it much thought. Its also the dealer telling me this when I get my oil changed.

what length extensions Thanks. knuckle/swivel is a great idea. I'll have to go get one. What size extensions? I have one that's about 1 foot long. I imagine I'll need a much shorter one to clear the brake master/booster.

Changed my plugs today 03 V8

tips I'm about to change mine. I figure I need to remove the air filter housing on the passenger side. 3 of bolts also look rusted. The drivers side looks harder near the firewall for exactly the same reason...brake master/booster is in the way. How did you get that spark plug out?

    '03 V8 4Runner - Replacing Sparkplugs

Hi all - So I'm about to replace my sparkplugs...got 126K miles. I bought the Denso iridium plugs. I checked out the forum for a guide and found one, but its for the V6, not the V8. When I opened up hood, I noticed the layout is different and it looks like a bit more effort to change these...

You've been recalled (Gas pedal modification by the dealer)

It happened to me... About a year ago, the sticking gas pedal happened to me, so take this recall seriously. I have an '03 V8 4Runner. I was on the highway going about 70mph...keeping with the flow of traffic. I wanted to pass the car in front of me, so I got in the left lane and floored...

    The Best Spark Plug

part #'s I just did a quick search for the Denso or NGK irridium plug part #'s for my 03 V8 4runner but can't find them. Autozone has a couple different plugs they say are correct, but I want to make sure I get the oem ones. Do I have to go to toyota for them?

    Recommended tools for a beginner?

Hi all - I have 03 V8 4Runner with 125K miles on it. I'm tired of spending money at the dealer doing routine maintenance while I read on here how easy it is to do this work yourself. I have some mechanical skills, but I'm definitely not an expert. I also have the basic tools...screwdrivers...
