So did you figure out what it was? I'm having a similar problem with a '95 that I just bought. It starts, but idles real low and just dies for no reason. I also thought maybe it was the fuel pump but the car's getting gas going down the road. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm new to this forum. I just bought a '95 2x4 4runner and it keeps dying on me after startup and no one can figure out why. I was hoping I could meet some other owners on this site who could help me find some good information about fixing up these older trucks.
