These were not installed on my truck. They were supposed to be for my dad's 4runner but he changed his mind and they are now in my way taking up space.
I originally purchased 3 sets from a Toyota dealer. Set 1 went on my 07. Set 2 was for my dad and set 3 was just extra. Set 3 was sold earlier...
I am not sure. I have read in the 4th gen section that some have installed 5th gen parts on a 4th gen with some modifications to the lower shock mount on the fronts. I am not sure what would need to be done to fit on a 4th gen.
FS/FT: 2014/15 Tacoma Coils and Bilsteins....SOLD
I have a set of front coils, 4 shocks, and NEW lower bushings for the rears.
I purchased these from a Toyota dealership who removed them from new Tacomas to install lift kits. I am pretty sure they were removed from 2014 units but they might be...
I don't doubt that shops around could order them but I am in an area where prices and taxes are already high. I highly doubt anyone could order them and beat or match DTD.
NTB/Tire Kingdom is only place local that carrier Cooper Tires. They wanted $191/each for the AT3.
I called DTD and they honored the instant online rebate via the phone. Got 4 AT3s on the way for $572. That's only $143/tire. Walmart should be $17/tire to install. Not bad IMHO.
Anyone know if Discount Tire Direct runs any spring sales like the fall sale?
I was a day late on the fall sale...I am pretty much set on the Cooper AT3 P265/70/17.
They are currently $612 delivered...just noticed the $40 online savings must have ended last night....just my luck.
Mine was not intermittent. Whine started and got progressively worse over 2 days. Ran fine until I picked up the new alt and by the time I got home I could smell it burning.
Almost exact same symptoms when my alternator went out. If you can measure voltage at the terminals while the engine is running and it is less than what it is while off then your alternator is dying. Mine ran and drove right up until it didn't.
I can tell you that using the 1.5 spacer with stock springs doesn't ride as well as I would have hoped. I have the Tacoma shocks on all 4 corners with Tacoma TRD offroad springs in the front. I am not that happy with the height and how the rear rides. I am planning to eventually get 2" lift...
I absolutely had to have my vehicle running by today so I had to go with what was in stock locally on Saturday evening. I ended up getting one from Advance Auto Parts with a lifetime warranty. The alternator was in a CarQuest branded box. I didnt know they were the same company. After core...
It was definitely the alt. Old one came out and measured almost 0 ohms between the case and the terminal. This indicates to me that winding insulation likely failed and is shorting to the case. Put the replacement in along with a new belt and so far it's running great. Running voltage now shows...
