[2020-2021 only] Rattle of relay box under the hood

Remove platic box frommetal housing (bracket) completely, then wrap metal brackets (left and right) with solid amount of vinyl tape, put box back into bracket, it should sit tight

In need of a new vehicle - what would you do?

Did anyone mention GX 460? It will be both feeling at home and also absolutely new car + at reasonable price. That's what I did. Recommend to do a test drive.

Found a way to use the little cubby in the dashboard

I put my Leatherman multitool there -perfect firm placement. For radio mic though I plan to print holder on 3d-printer and put it into "sauce" slot :)

[2020-2021 only] Rattle of relay box under the hood

OK, few layers of insulating tape around metal brackets did the trick and box is now sitting death silent. But IMO this is not level of Toyota, I expected more accuracy from them.

[2020-2021 only] Rattle of relay box under the hood

So today on the trail I noticed rattle sound from front-left part of the vehicle. I realized that relay box (red square) is sitting loose in it's housing and it is easy to reproduce rattle with just hand. Do you have this issue in your own vehicle? Is this box sitting loose or firm? Not a big...

    No free shipping any more?

Thank you for the reply. Will this shipping cost for the sliders remain indefinitely or do you foresee reduction later?

    Squeaky Brakes

Update for 2021 Toyota. It still happens for this year as well :(. Toyota does not have TSB released for 2021 model so owners should wait. TSB for 1994 - 2020 4Runners: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2020/MC-10186195-9999.pdf Attached my dealer visit conclusion. Take a look at highlighted part:

    No free shipping any more?

Few months ago CBI sliders had free shipping, now shipping cost is $200. Is it temporary or not? If not, what is the sense to buy through you and not from CBI directly? Thanks!

    Finally made some off-pavement today

Thanks! No, I don't worry about fading. By the time it will happen my rig will have so many mods and so many dings from off road that I will care even less :D There are few pros of plastidip: 1) It is already in my garage :D 2) It is dirt cheap 3) If something go wrong (I'm sure it will), it...

    Finally made some off-pavement today

I did not have any all-weather liners in the car so I ordered 1) Set of OEM all-weather in-cabin liners for people's feet. 2) Husky cargo liner instead of OEM because: a) It was cheaper b) It has tall sides - so is able to keep something liquid inside. What I can tell that material of...

    Finally made some off-pavement today

From my understanding it's clear coat is fading under ultra violet. For black color it's just more visible. So to return shine black there are polishing services, should not be too expensive. Anyway I hope I'll not see it in nearest 5-7 years :)

    Finally made some off-pavement today

Few things: 1) color does not match vehicle black color 2) For front valance I had not enough place and it was pretty cold, so I've got few drips here and there. So it's mostly about my bad skills and cold weather. Rear valance looks more or less good :) So I may end up with swapping only...

    Finally made some off-pavement today

I absolutely agree with your point. Sigh, here is Seattle powder coating is $120 per wheel. This is not something I cannot afford, I just feel it is unnecessary... DIY powder coating will require: wheels assembling/disassembling, sanding, priming, coating, clear coating, lot of hassle, I just...

For that people usually use trash bags, so will I.
