Is there anything I need to worry about when welding on my truck tomorrow. Im a little worried about welding that close to the gas tank. Also is there anything I should be worried about melting?

Just got my 4runner last week and ordered a lift kit for it. I read about 3 write ups on how to install it. Looks really easy. Just had one question about the rear spring bump stops. Do the spacers go between the spring bump stops and the spring or do the spacers go on top then the stops...
