I looked at your build page, but I might have missed it.. what trans controller are you using? Just curious. Between the de-throttle on the shifts, and the ECU pulling timing under 4k RPMS regardless (not seeing knock), and of course I can only pull timing further with the POS splitsec...

Same.. had a factory turbo (22ret) 1st gen years ago I did a lot of stuff too... and 3 tacomas.. and a bunch of fast car projects I took way too far... sold all that nonsense, bought an airplane and a 4runner :becky: ... might slap a turbo on the 4runner though, it's way too slow at my elevation

Had an 87 22RET w/ the digital dash. Stuck an intercooler through the hood and some other mods, 4th gen wheels, etc. When people hear an old 4runner with a whistling turbo on it, they tend to want to see what the deal is. Had a lot of positive attention given to that old truck...... 1st gens...

High elevation will produce a little lower numbers.. but the difference between cylinders is what's most important anyway. Leak down testers are superior to a regular compression tester. They are not real expensive (50-70ish) on Amazon and such. Just a thought, but it will tell you more about...

Agree, the instructions suck and are lacking. And it would have taken very little extra effort to explain what your really doing, why your doing it.. what it does. I have been in a handful of valve bodies so I understand most of what I'm doing and why.. but the instructions suck. Kit is great...
