    Dealing with Idiots from Craigslist

It's a shame that there's so many d-bags out there.. I think the next person I contact about a vehicle I may ask them to send me pictures of the engine, drive shafts, ect lol.. Or just cut right to the chase and tell them straight up if they lie about the condition of the truck we're going to...

    Dealing with Idiots from Craigslist

He actually spoke of his "trophy" goldfish... Said it was a "one of a kind specimen" that he had traveled to Southern Japan for. He then mentioned that when he arrived, he had to fight a part time samurai and his monkey to earn the fish. After a grueling 5 hour sword fight, the samurai and his...

    Dealing with Idiots from Craigslist

Disclosure: This is a rant Back Story: So I find a great condition 2000 Limited with 163k miles for $5500 on the C-List. Figured it was worth the look, no rust and the body and interior were in excellent condition. I hit the guy with the basic questions like; Have you had any issues with...

Would you pay 9 grand for a 4runner with 91k mi?

You're jumping the gun here, what's the carfax and mechanical condition? I agree if it's towed anything substantial I wouldn't touch it, same goes for trucks with 5th wheel hitch's haha

    What's Your Deal Breaker

Didn't get the opportunity to view the vehicle today, looking to check it out this upcoming Friday or Saturday.. I'd like to bump this up and get a couple extra opinions? Rear end damage with both rear axle seals needing to be replaced & oil replaced afterwards (at different times) That...

    What's Your Deal Breaker

Thank You! Our biggest concern is that due to the rear end damage that the back axle could be partially out of align or faulty.. Due to the axle being replaced so early was the old man's big concern. What do y'all think? Personally I think he's just finding an excuse to NOT go check this truck...

    What's Your Deal Breaker

Here's the records from 2012 at a dealership in WV.. Had basic maintenance done, windshield wipers done ect... But had an axle leak (right rear axle) and the air to fuel ratio sensor 1 was changed. Nothing mentioned about the fender bender but I'm assuming this is a 3 or 4 owner vehicle.

    What's Your Deal Breaker

Thanks for the input guys, it's a good deal for my areas as I mentioned before.. A bunch of 3rd Gen's in the 6-7k range with the "beaters" being in the 3-4k range. Looking forward to checking this truck out, I've been reading and re-reading the 3rd Gen Buyers Guide to make sure I check out any...

    What's Your Deal Breaker

Just spoke to the owner again.. Said "the water pump is good and the timing belt is 3-4 years old" Replied back saying "approximately 40k miles on them" Not necessarily the best record keeping which partially worries me, I'm not looking to buy someone else's headache but hopefully the...

    What's Your Deal Breaker

Looking for some input here on viewing and purchasing a used 3rd Gen... I'm going to be looking at a 2000 Limited with an elocker with 163k miles. The guy is asking $5500 but I'm looking to pay $4500-4900 tops for it. The truck is in great shape, no dents and interior is in great shape. The...

    Funding A Used 4Runner

So far, between Geico & State Farm with Full Coverage I'm looking at $110-125 a month on an '04 4Runner V8 Limited. Your son has a great rate, I might have to look into USAA. I'm considering buying the Carfax 'Unlimited' vehicle check for $60. I feel that it will pay dividends in the long run...

    Funding A Used 4Runner

For an $11k loan @60 months I'm anticipating a $193-210 monthly payment, tack on $100-120 that sets me back roughly $330 a month. At $15k it would be closer to $370... Not saying it's going to be easy but I don't foresee any real problems with it. I don't necessarily flaunt my money and I have...
