With the power dying that makes me think your starter is frozen and since it cant spin its power draw goes up and pulls to much power.

You more than likely have a dirty air filter or a mad sensor issue.

I would highly recommend renting a carpet cleaner for this job, they work great.

How could I get ahold of him? I've been trying to find somebody with info on motor mounts to bolt my 88 3.0 into my 91 four runner. The mounts for the 88 motor are different from the 91 motor that was in it originally which was pulled by the previous owner. The mounts seem to be quite elusive...
