It's interesting how preferences differ between people. I love the super light handle because it puts all the weight at the end. This allows for a lighter head which you can swing faster creating more striking force.

WD-40 is a penetrating oil; it doesn't lubricate things. Try one of the aforementioned products and work it a bit. It might take a few applications.

WD-40 should free it up. But something like a silicon spray, Tri-Flow, Boeshield T-9, etc... will last much longer.

The smaller wheel has less resistance and therefore becomes the driven wheel. Less resistance means the power is routed to this wheel the same as when one wheel of an axle is on ice and the drive shaft will spin up at the same rate as this frictionless wheel. The issue with this doesn't occur...

I've had luck hitting the bolts with PB Blaster twice a day for a couple days before going in. It will help loosen them as they are probably seized.
