I've exhausted the search feature. I need a schematic for a 97 4x4 manual. Can someone provide me with a link or point me in the right direction?
I have a Haynes manual but the wiring for a 4runner is not covered and the
Tacoma wiring colors don't jive with my truck.
Any help would really be...
I have a 97 4x4 manual trans. Thru the dreaded bad cat code but I don't believe it. I purchased new Denso OE sensors from AMAZON ( best price ).
When I got underneath I discovered that the PO had cut the pre-cat sensor harness prior to the plug to wire in a universal.
I want to put a female plug...
Air in the fuel Line is Bunk! If you removed the maf for cleaning a to lean condition suggests that you didn't get a vaccum line reconnected properly or perhaps one is split or damaged. I'd look those over first.
Good luck!
Look at mightyvac.com
I got mine at either a Harbor Freight or Northern Tools. Can't remember which one. Comes with a small booklet that explains the various fitting and the methods to use the tool. Great tool to have in your tool box. You can use it to test for vacuum leaksand all sorts of...
I'm feeling your pain! I looked over my '97 and the calipers could be reversed if you had aftermarket flex lines. Don't think this is your problem.
I would investigate my bleeding procedure to see if this might be the problem.
A Mighty Vac tool available in most auto part stores might be a good...
I'm new to T4r's but not to brakes. If you removed the calipers and carried them to your work bench then back to the vehicle it is possible that you reversed the orientation. Most calipers are universal fit and can be reinstalled with the bleed valves down as opposed to on the top. If installed...
My 97 is behaving the same way. Speakers in the rear are dead. No amount of balance or fade adjustment solves the problem.
I ordered a Kenwood double din unit with blue tooth from Crutchfield. Also added new speakers front and rear to the order. They ship with wiring harness and install kit all...
Fast idle resolved!
I want to say thanks to everyone who responded. I'm liking this 4runner more everytime I get in it!
Decided to try for my state inspection. Plugged my laptop in the obd to see if enough systems were ready to pass. Drove it long enough to bring everything online and the idle...
Quick update. Started her up and manually operated the throttle. Couldn't detect any real difference. Thought I might have disloged some gunk that was holding it open but no change. I let it run and then drove it for twenty minutes. The idle setteled at 1000 rpm with a/c and 1250 without.
I...
Just started working on my first T4R. First order of business was to refurbish the front sway bar as both links were broken and the bushing were torn and squeezing out of the brackets. An hour of labor, really dirty and greasy hands and a few parts....done!
That bring me to my real problem. I...
I've wanted a 4runner for a long time. After several months of searching I was able to snag a 97 3.4ltr manual 4x4 SR5 yesterday. Posted the WTB add on craigslist and got a reply 4 hours later. I was amazed at the find.....one owner, all it's life owned by a female in Oklahoma complete with all...
