A couple years ago I had a similar issue in my 89 where the rear window would not roll back up. Wiper was in place, bolt was in. I wound up taking it to a guy who said there was an issue with the grounding. He was able to locate it and fix it pretty cheap.

A steering box for an 89 runner. A few months ago I replaced mine with an old OEM one my friend had. Felt great for a couple weeks, but now my steering feels loose again.

Anyone have any experience with Lares steering boxes? Or, Any good recommendations for a steering box?

Seems to be the culprit. 452,000 miles on the truck (not sure if the previous owner ever replaced the steering box) But...a friend had one (used spare, OEM) we swapped it out and it drives WAYYY BETTER. So, as long as it doesn’t leak konk out, should be good

That’s where I think the issue lies. Vehicle has very high mileage. I wonder how much$$ it would be to replace the steering shaft?
