The difference seems to be the cargo tray, None of the ones I looked at (including mine) have this cargo tray. Directly behind the rear seats are two cargo tie down hooks that are bolted to the deck. I guess if you have a slide out cargo tray you have this compartment

No, none of the 3 that I looked at were 3rd row seats, all standard SR5's, Again, the only thing behind the seats are two tie down hooks that are bolted to the deck so removing any carpet around them would be very difficult. Maybe some of the earlier ones were different?

The Steelcraft bars bolt to the 4 body mount bolts. When you remove these bolts take the rubber mount and spray it with silicone to re install. On my install, I also added the Husky mud flaps so I slid the step bars all the way to the rear before tightening. This did cause some squeeks due to...

Look at earlier posts. These have been covered for a few weeks now, Aries, Westin and Steelcraft make nice bull guards. The only one that I've seen that is not well designed and constructed is the one by Broadfeet
