I had a 2011 Touareg VR6 Sport for a year before I bought my 4Runner—wish I'd have bought the TDI. It was a fun ride, with a nice fit and finish, but I couldn't stomach the whole crossover deal. No complaints in the reliability department. Only had it for a year, but it was solid.

The reception is definitely not as good as the OEM antenna, but the only station I listen to on FM comes in just fine. If you listen to a lot of FM, I wouldn't get the stubby.

I have a 2012 Limited. I've had this happen once that I know of. I switched from SAT to FM and got nothing but static. As soon as I restarted the ignition, everything was fine.

My 2012 Limited is exactly the same. I find myself canceling the cruise control as I approach an incline, then reengaging it when I make it to the other side. Someone earlier used the term "hammer-time," and that's exactly what happens once your speed drops a little.

And also, so you don't remotely start your car, put your keys on the kitchen counter, then drive off without your key. Once you get to where you're going and turn your 4Runner off, you'd be screwed!

I would think one of the biggest problems would be getting the dealership to program it. They looked at me like I was crazy when I asked them to turn off the seatbelt chime. They would probably call the cops on me if I asked this. :D
