Replaced the 7.5amp fuse with the GM diode. Went from 13.6-13.8 to 14.3-14.4 on cold idle. Very happy. This will make my new AGM battery happy. Thanks everyone!

Sorry I should have clarified, I'm talking about the cheap GM diode with no fuse. The kit fron sno has a built in fuse which is nice.

Installing this diode will trick the computer into upping the voltage on the battery works in theory but by doing this doesn't this eliminate the fail safe and purpose of a fuse? Fuses will pop if there is a spike in amperage, diodes are designed to flow electricity in one way only. Will this...

Interesting, you're saying they offer 2 different kinds at 2 different price points? I have a 2014 4Runner with almost 60k miles on it. Alternator only pushes out 13.6-.7v at idle or driving the vehicle. I read for AGM setups you want to get it above 14. Power wise I use mainly LED lights...
