I'm replacing my 3.4l 3vz-fe motor in my '99, but i dont kno what the difference is between the federal emissions and the california emissions motor? and what is the difference in the motor built before 1/99 and the motor built after?
i have a knocking noise that isn't very loud but is definitely audible. i have been to 4 places trying to find out what it is. 3 places told me it was either the flex plate or torque converter so i had the transmission pulled to check and there is nothing wrong with anything in the transmission...
