What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Took my trusty old 08 SE V6 and traded her in for a 18 Limited..ill miss her but the wife insisted we were due for an upgrade

    100k - 200k mile 4th gen v6's post up

My 08 SE is solid like a rock luckily I take backroads for my 12min commute to work so it doesn't see much salt. Still there's a fair bit of rust. 240xxx km on the clock and 11 glorious year of ownership.

The 4th Gens rear hatch latch what a poor deaign.

my 08 had a similar problem and if it wasn't closed properly in the winter the trunk would open when i hit the first bump on my driveway. A good cleaning and spray with CRC knock'er loose solved that.

    Toyota's Check Engine Scam.

+1 on the OEM parts and especially gas cap lol Something about a $15 Napa cap dosnt sit well. Changed my gas cap with OEM 2 years ago

What is my Toyota dealer talking about?

Good Question im also in the same boat..tho i don't think i have that much sag when compared to other 4th gens without xreas. Ive pretty much made up my mind with the 5100's when i am ready to do suspension.

    Your Calipers Are Stalking You

    all season tire

KUMHO CRUGEN HT51. So far its gotten rave reviews and basically a Michelin Defender replica at half the price. Check it out on tire rack.

    Suggested Tools

Had a corded impact and got fed up with it always getting caught on stuff and was pretty gutless. Being a Milwaukee fan boy I got the 2767 M18 FUEL high torque impact wrench, a tad overkill i know. "1,000 ft./lbs. of fastening torque and 1400 ft./lbs. of nut-busting torque" :uzi: tho id end up...

    Squealing Brakes

New pads are in order, but make sure they are decent quality. Ceramics are nice and low dust. I made the mistake of buying the economy $25 and no amount of anti squeal made those quiet. Tossed them in the garbage and bought Akebonos

4th gen vs 5th gen vs Jeep - Help Needed

I thought i lived in the Jeep Girl capital of the world.. i guess not. When there's ladies cross fit and yoga at the gym i go to, the parking lot looks like a Jeep wrangler dealership. Also good point about the miserable part, let her decide
