    loose shifter

There are two little blue bushings in the shifter. They're available through the dealer. The original ones have most likely disintegrated. Take it all apart and plug in the new ones, it will be good as new.

    1st gen drivetrain question

I have an 89 withe the 22re automatic combo on 35's with 5.29 gears with a solid axle conversion. It's not horrible on road and I actually like the automatic offroad. The previous owner had it on 35's for years, never wheeled it though, it was IFS then. So far no transmission issues. That being...

**DONE!!!!!**1988 SAS build - need advice for beginning

I left the torsion bar boxes, didn't see any reason to cut them out. Man, grinding all that shit smooth after cutting it out was the worst... Keep the good work, it's all worth it in the end. GH

The fenders and quarters have a couple inches cut out, but this should give you an idea on how the 3 inch spring sit. The rear has TG 4 inch springs. [/URL]

I used the 3 inch Trail Gears on my 89 and I'm right at 25.5 inches frame to ground on 35 inch MTR's at street pressure. Total lift once they settled just under 6 inches over stock.

    can't find correct heater core

I have an 89 dlx and 9 times out of 10 you're going to get the wrong part if you ask for an 89. I usually just search for an 88.

    Wobbly Gear Shifter

I did mine on an automatic. The bushings were really cheap, two little blue bushings. I want to say it was 10 bucks for the parts. The job itself is a pain in the ass. Takes a lot to remove the shifter. GH
