I had similar rack on my 2008 FJ cruiser and used it to carry canoes and kayaks across the country, used Thule square bars old school. I hoe to do the same with my 5ht gen 4runner, the rack is shorter and situated a little farther aft on the vehicle, but looks like it will work. Good luck and...
