Guys I’m looking at getting a new Limited but am concerned about the space for a rear facing car seat. I’m 6’3” and like to have have the driver seat back a good bit. How well will a rear facing car seat fit?
My daughter is almost 2 so we’ll be swapping the direction of her convertible seat...
I love modern diesels (as long as they don't come from VW!), would be pretty cool to see something like the 4.5L Cummins I-4 (basically 2/3 of the engine in a RAM) in a 4Runner. Those engines are pretty indestructible and could easily make ~270hp and 600 ft. lbs.
Didn't really think of leasing one as I thought 4Runners (despite strong residuals) don't lease well. To get the 0.44% did you have to put down multiple security deposits (I know BMW let's you put up to 7)? Also, if you don't mind me asking, what are the terms of your lease?
I've been searching for a truck again and found a few certified pre-owned GX460s (similar years and miles as the Limiteds) for not that much more. Did anyone chose a Limited over a GX460 or vice-versa?
The GX is obviously way more luxurious and has the V-8, but given the extra weight doesn't...
Nice truck, the Limited looks so much better with the chrome blacked out, no idea why they couldn't come that way from the factory. The TRD wheels and hood scoop are a nice touch as well.
Nice truck, I'm looking to pick up a Limited myself. What color interior do you have? How dark is the blue in person? My wife is a big fan of blue however I'm partial to black, but I could probably learn to love a dark blue.
Theoretically if you condition the leather frequently that should help prevent cracks and tears.
Interesting to hear about the sunroof rattle. Come to think of it my uncles 2003 lx470 and my mother in laws 2006 is250 had sunroof rattles, hopefully it's just something Lexus owners pay more...
Thank you very much, this is exactly the sort of thing I am looking to read. I doubt I would ever do any hardcore off-reading, but if I did I would certainly swap the stock wheels and tires.
Your comment on the seats is interesting, the one place my parents LC falls down in terms of quality...
Yea I hear you, very little consistency in snow removal in the North East. One of the biggest problems is that after the plows come through, people throw the snow back onto the street as they dig themselves out.
Not factoring in the wheels/tires and suspension, is the full-time 4wd system on the Limited any less capable or reliable then the part-time 4wd on the other trim levels?
I've never gotten into off-roading (but who knows if I will) and the most extreme conditions I could imagine would be on a...
The rational/financial professional side of myself really can't justify new. Cars are one of the worst things to spend money on. Any opportunity I can reduce financing and depreciation costs, I will usually take it.
