Sorry I guess I misunderstood. I though you were trying to hide the fob with the vehicle similar to the old magnetic key boxes. In that case I would hide the key and batteries together probably in a small ziploc bag underneath in the frame somewhere or in a locked box on the roof.

Remove the batteries from the fob.
