I used LFD's Ruggedized bars until I upgraded to a Prinsu rack. I just sold mine last night, but check out their website. I think they run around $90-100 a piece. They fasten between the rails, so you don't add much height (maybe 1/2") and lots of holes to bolt things to.

One opinion that hasn't been beaten up and over-done: magnets vs. latch. I vote for a latch, not a magnet. Bouncing back and forth, or even possibly over, the latch would keep whatever is in there, still in there. A magnet would probably either be way strong and a pain to open or not strong...
