cool. i will see whats happening and possibly head out there. might be a bad idea as i will want a bike again and that isnt in the cards right now. i will keep an eye out if i head that out there.

yes we will definitly have to meet up sometime. i havent been doing much trails lately. i need to do tires real bad. teenage daughter kind of puts a damper in the funds sometimes.
yea that looks like about 2.6 on the front. i cant remember the color code on my rear springs but my fender height...
i know mine stock with 265/70-16 with limited flares was 35" front and 34.5" rear. yes it had the typical sag. the 265/70-16 are worn out also and actually measure just under 30" tall
im not sure where you get your information but u joints are designed to always operate at an angle. the drive and the driven shaft should never be parallel. normally there is a minimum of 1 deg. this is why the output of a transmission or transfer case and the rear diff for an example or not...
well i guess this can be debated forever but in my opinion this is not a concern. i have never heard of a bearing failure from lack of lubrication. i do know looking at my vehicle the fill plug is lower than the pinion bearing. this is no different than setting the pinion angle on a straight...
im sure that could be an issue over time if we all drove around in 4wd constantly but at low speed off road the bearing cant build to much heat and in 2wd it isnt spinning. also the fill plug is lower than the pinion so the lubrication is from splash or gear climb. it is not relying on oil...
i have never seen them for 3rd gen and really they wouldnt do anything. on a 2nd gen that is one of the ways to lift them. the 2nd gen has a torsion bar instead of a coil over and the torsion bar is on the upper a arm so spacing the ball joint lifts the front of the truck without changing the...
brian, i think you are right that is a big part of it. i think that is why mine seems to be sensative to toe in setting. i know the front of mine is to high and i think this throws the angle of the tie rods versus the a arms off so the toe changes as far as bump steer. i need to lower mine down...
