I don't own a 4Runner, but I'll be darned did Ford hit a home run with this vehicle. I'm not rushing to the dealership to put a deposit on one though. I've never cared for the Jeep and the current 4Runner is getting a bit long in the tooth.

Yes, most of our auto insurers have inexpensive coverage for these sorts of things, but you never know when you'll need it and Murphy's law states that your car battery will die...

What you describe is generally from a bolt or two being too loose somewhere in the system and the weight of an engine/vehicle managing to exacerbate whatever gap is present. A quick visual spot-check of all of the shocks to ensure none of them are leaking is worth the 3 minutes it generally takes.

It's not just your opinion. Check over the part numbers for things like the suspension, transmission, and engine.... more often than not, you'll find a ton of overlap in the parts used.... begging the question, what actually are you paying for that's upgraded? With Mercedes and Lexus ---...

Same boat.... fun to think about a Cement '17 TRD Pro, but the MSRP is a bit high for me to pay it just for a different paint color compared to the lower trims. (Yes, I know there are other upgrades on it, but really, I'd be shooting for the unique paint).

If I'm not mistaken, the dimensions of the second row of the seats should be the same as other 4Runners. So, you could use a rig already on the lot to determine if it will meet your needs.
