I have them on my 03. They are great tires for 4runner,great on highway and on the rough road. I put about 10K miles on them for now, still look like brand new. I think this is best tire if you do occasional off-road trips and highway. Noise on the highway is not so loud, quite acceptable...

I also have hard brake pedal. I thought all 4runners are like that. I also replaced all brake pads and one of front calipers, stayed same hard. But I did not bleed rear brakes, just fron one which had caliper replaced. Overall I am not too happy with 4runner brakes.

I have 4 speed V6 03 SR5 and it does the similar things, but it hard downshifts when I stop on the red light. Other posts say it is driveshaft and suggest greasing it, but I did grease my driveshaft it still occurs. Other than that transmission is smooth. It does this hard downshifts sometimes...

I burned one aternator on 98 Honda Accord because of car wash, water got into it. Yes, I washed the engine without covering alternator before it is possible, but to be on the safe sitde it is easy and will not harm to cover alternator.

I have replaced front caliper and just bleed that front caliper with no problems. The engine was running and I closed the brake line after removing caliper so fluid would stop leaking and then reattached. I think my brakes work well, it is same as before, seems I do not have air in the system.

Guys, What are usual parts on FT Suspension that go bad with the age? I mean like Tie Rods or ball joins. My car seems to be ok, does not make any noise, just noticed a slight rattle while driving on rough roads. Is there anything you recommend to look at? Thanks!

Guys, Took car to some mountains and woods. Overall very happy except for annoying rattle from soonroof.

I washed engine few times. No problems just cover up alternator with some plastic bag and that is it. Only do not use a lot of water and rinse quickly. I was amazed how quickly 4runned engine gets dirty, even when you run trough some rain or dirt. Big minus for Toyota, could have used more...

I agree that Toyotas are reliable, but they do have rattles and squeaks. I do have some rattles and minor problems in 03 4runner, but my 98 BMW 323 ti after 100K miles feels rock solid and no rattles at all on hard suspension. I own Japanese and German cars, and like them all, but nothing can...
