I certainly have track access, which is where a 911 would be useful to me. Track days are akin to offroad days relative to my "enthusiast" needs. Ideally, I would have both. I don't intend on getting rid of my 4Runner, as I said, it benefits my activities.

I get bored on the day to day, but the Runner has clear benefits when it is being used for activities. I do really want a 911, however.

This is totally untrue. The C load is still significantly heavier than the stock tire, not to mention the increase in resistance related to the size and width differences. You will definitely see a 2-3mpg drop from tires depending on your driving style.
