Ok the camera must have an extra wire. It's powered into the reverse lights already so that's probably causing the confusion. I'll disconnect the 12v and see if that takes care of it. Thanks again!

Ok well I've got a pioneer and my polarity options are battery or ground. I've got the camera powered to the 12v wire behind the HU and polarity is set to battery but that setup is telling the HU to keep the camera on constantly- I get a black screen with parking guides when I start the car and...

I'm installing a backup camera and there are two wiring methods for the camera: one for fixed voltage and one for variable voltage. Does this vary by head unit or vehicle and which method should I use?

Bringing this thread back from the dead...one answer I have not found anywhere is regarding the bulbs. The 06-09 tail lights are "LED" so do I need to upgrade the bulbs to LED bulbs, or do my 05 stock incandescent bulbs work in these? Doesn't seem to make sense but just trying to price out this...

Do you have the passenger side air vent? Not the one by the door, but the center-mounted vent next to the stereo? Also, passenger side door-mounted courtesy light? You said door panel is gone but wasn't sure if the light went with it.

Does anyone know if the DAC button on a 2005 4Runner is interchangeable with one from a 2003 GX470? Looks the same but I know the GX plugs are slightly different so want to make sure it's a direct swap. Looking to replace mine, which has broken clips. Thanks!

What paint and finish [brand] did you use? I've been wanting to do this mod but didn't like the glossy look. Now you've inspired me to give it a try but I want the paint to match as close as possible to the factory buttons.
