    Factory JBL sub enclosure help

Ah I was thinking the Arc A10 slim design, but I see it's still .65 sealed. Missed that!

    Factory JBL sub enclosure help

I would look at the Arc Audio A10 or A12 series or Hybrid Audio Unity shallow over the JL, for the stock location requirement. JL does a lot right but they have no presence in the upper tier car audio. They just advertise well.

    Another Bronco vs 4Runner-Crawl Control

Hyperbole and all, There's probably a Ranger that can eat the Bronco.

    Smart Entry Door Handle Swap

So I did a rattle can job on my '13 sr5 in about 2016. I was in the same boat. At the time I would have paid way too much just to have them painted. No one wanted to. My rattle can match I used was decent, but it's long in the tooth. I think I'm going to have nappa mix the paint and just ask...

Any cheaper way to mount arb awning?

Jason at Rockyour4x4 here in Knoxville fab'd mine up. They were about $50 IIRC. Seem rock solid so far.

What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Got the TC UCA's, the Tyotec adjustables, diff drop, and Budbilt hidden winch mount all put on! Vehicle handles so much better. Can't wait to get it up somewhere to play around.

Range Rover Sport owner looking to switch to the 4R

So my progression of vehicles looked like this. . . 2000 Range Rover SE 2003 350z w/ APS Twin Turbo 2005 Mercedes E320CDI 2006 Mercedes E320CDI w/ Kleeman goodies 2013 4Runner SR5 Honestly, The Range Rover was a sweet vehicle. The 2000's traction control is honestly probably better than my...

    Best Tires for Snow

This was my reason for the studded tires. Yes, it's overkill in Knoxville Tennessee(and Nashville as far as I have noticed from 3 years driving to the regional HQ). That said the way we get snow is the following: We get a snow. They blow their first salt/brine load here. Then we get another one...

    Best Tires for Snow

I have some lt285/70/17 Cooper AT/3 for 9-10 months out of the year. Usually after the first snow I'll wait till we are supposed to start getting more and I'll swap to the Cooper M+S studded. Got new wheels and figured that was a good investment for the stockers. They will last a good long while...

What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Kind of modest compared to some armor! I have in all my parts. So I scheduled my Toytec BOSS lift, TC UCA, and diff drop to be installed Jan 17th-18th. Also got some work on the fiberglass sub box in. Cut the weird bar where the JBL sub thing would be and got the base layer down. Later this...

    New Generation Improvements

I think I would be on board for a stripped down version. Honestly, the jbl stereo is still bleh in my opinion and 2k invested in aftermarket will sound better, the suspension on a ~40k truck is going to be upgradable with minimal cost. Factory wheels are going to be heavy and expensive because...

    Nose Dive While Braking

I installed the bilsteins and oh so slightly stiffer springs, resulting in +/- a 3" lift) and the dive is gone except when you completely slam the brakes. Even then it's not the borderline safety hazard it was. It's also a better ride imo, but I despise a floaty vehicle.

What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

    Entune problems....replace or fix?

Honest opinion: if the update doesn't work I would chuck it. For the cost of the unit I'm sure you could install a full stereo(I'm assuming). Decent brand speakers from Best Buy(it's not hard to find better speakers than even the jbl) pick a head unit, and a shallow mount sub with amp will sound...

What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Received and installed the rack. So help me whoever, I will get the hidden winch installed this coming week. After that it's on to tackling the sound deadening/reducing and stereo install. I'm really thinking about just running everything and having it ready when I can finish the sub box but I...
