I'm a M6 with 5501st...I'm having a few AC issues of my own and saw this thread, just joined the forum. Let us know how it goes...I'm about to chase down a leak on my 95 4Runner tomorrow and I have another car waiting in line with some even more difficult AC problems. Just reading off of this...

Guess I'm kinda hijacking this thread but here's a small update...replaced the evaporator and expansion valve, tried recharging and the compressor clutch turned over once and that was it. Put an entire can in the low side without the clutch engaging, figured the expansion valve was installed...

Nuke did changing the Evaporator fix the problem? I'm having the same problem with my 95 4Runner and found this thread in a search. Thanks!
