My mystery clunk was the rubber sway bar-to-frame bushings had hardened and shrunk, allowing an occasional clunk. If you replace them check the bar diameter before ordering, apparently there are a couple of sizes.

Back in November I ordered 6112/5160 from Wheelers. I keep getting told they are backordered, has anyone received any since ~December? I was all stoked for finally taking the plunge, but it's been 3 months...

yep, dead simple... pinch clamp on positive post was a bit loose. Nut was tight but I could twist it on the post. Took apart the clamp, filed a bit of material from the inner faces of the clamp (where the bolt goes thru)...snug as a bug! I've got to remember to keep a simple tool kit in the car...

Howdy, '99 SR5, ~200k miles, alternator replaced ~3 years ago with new OEM, battery about the same age. Runs like a top, ScanGauge always hooked up to monitor volts and water temp, always in charging ~13.5v +/-.2 or so, always ~198*+/- a few*. Parked it yesterday for ~3 hrs, it was ~40*...

Loose is better than tight, in this case. IMHO, rechecking the clearance is the only way. So long as you're certain it's not an exhaust leak... 2¢

Just curious about tire choices, some of these trailers don't weigh 1000lbs, but they have big knobby mud tires. Is these some benefit to knobbies? Seems like a tall skinny tire would be "better", if only lighter.

Both those fuses are OK and changing one for another shouldn't make a difference, other than perhaps resetting a computer thingie or something. Either they look like that (the u-shaped wire in the middle is intact = good) or they don't' (the u-shaped wire is obviously not intact=bad). As for...

While sorting out my misfire I found the source of a front-end clunk that's been bothering me since I bought it last year. Front swaybar bushings are rock hard and loose on the bar - three shops couldn't find the source of the noise, it took me 2 minutes while changing the O2 sensors... Anyway...
