Most reviews seem to say that the motor/flap wears out over time and won't seal. I've installed a manual cutout with wing nut bolts and it worked great. Had it on a truck for years and was always taking it off and putting it back on. I'd recommend that route if you don't mind 5 minutes or less...

I agree with Urban and Trail edition. I can't recall the last time I've seen one on the road and we have a lot of 4runners in Nashville.

Aux mode on the radio when answering a call will play the persons voice through the speakers for me if I am plugged in. Does it still work if you are on FM or another source?

Looks great for that many miles! I'd expect to be replacing parts all the time from wear though. I don't doubt the dealers auction value. 4runners are ridiculous at manheim no matter what condition it is in.

Anyone switched from HID kit to LED? I'm going on 2 years with my cheap amazon hid kit. No issues but would likely switch when they go out. Seems like led has come a long way over the past few years, but are they as bright as a real hid system?

I had one bolt do this on the last oil change. I couldn't get it out so I just drilled a hole through the center of it.

Nice post! With that service from crutchfield it would save me about $600 over what a local shop quoted me if I installed myself.

Did you use toyota pads? Previous owner was older and drove with two feet.....one on the brake at all times. I'm thinking thats why they are so worn already.

#2 is the best deal in terms of value. Full syn or not, it still a tank that won't break! I wouldn't pay more than 12 for the GX thats ready for a belt change unless its pearl white, then maybe 13 :heh:

AUX Bluetooth Adapter I went down this road. I was tired of wires and the aux cord to plug in for music. I bought one of these bluetooth adapters and it works great. I'd recommend it if you aren't ready to blow $1,000+ on a HU installation.

Keep in mind that if you get the actual front windshield tinted, it will mess with your vision when you wear polarized glasses. You'll see faint black lines down the windshield in full sun while driving.

New suspension at 39k miles? I bought mine last year with 37k miles on the clock. Suspension is perfect and still on first set of brakes today at 47k miles. Suspension issue alone seems weird.
