    swingout tire carrier

Has anyone tried the 4xinnovations bumper on our 4th gens? The pin that holds the latch might be the tricky part but maybe it’s not that bad.. just cut thru the bumper and fab up a bracket to hold it in the right spot? I wonder if there enough clearance on our 4th gen bumper for it to close...

    Coverlay dash cover very happy

maddss I wound up finding a deal on carparts for a coverlay dash cover. They ran a sale for a while and I got one. I’m very happy with it although there are some minor things that could be improved… 1.) the speaker hole cover is a soft flexible material that’s works fine but it doesn’t match the...

    Rear cargo box plate system

The ones near the hatch seem to be decent but I’m not sure the ones next to the back of rear seats are great… it’s just a removable panel.. they don’t seem to attach to the body at all.

    Rear cargo box plate system

Ha! Good catch… Figures. Anyone else have any pictures or documentation on what good mounting points are under the carpet or should I plan on drilling my own?

    Rear cargo box plate system

Reviving an old thread here.. drbyrdman do you happen to have better pics of where those mounting points are? Did you use existing mounting points or did you drill new holes in the floor board sheet metal? Or does anyone out there have more info better pics of good mounting points on the floor?

    Interior Spare Tire Mount

I found some pics online of the rear lower quarter trim panels and it looks like the seat bracket cubbies are further back in the 3rd row seat versions notice the picture comparison here. The non-3rd row version would require quite a bit of unusual trimming to make it work.. not to mention I...

    Interior Spare Tire Mount

Reviving an old thread here… as expensive as bumper swing outs are, I’m suprised more aren’t looking for more cost effective interior spare tire mounting solutions. For me… yea I’d like a bumper swing out eventually… but I don’t have that kind of cash right now.. until I do though, it would be...

Aftermarket Third Row install (3rd Row)

The cargo area side panel pieces and floor are different as well so they would have to be modified or replaced. Big question I have is how much modification is needed to fit the mounting brackets for the original 3rd row seats? See image to reference these brackets… Here Does anyone know do...

    Third Row Seating

I’m curious about the side brackets for the 3rd row.. does anyone know if those side brackets would fit mounted in the same cubby for a non-3rd row version? I know there are other things to account for such as the seat belts, and floor mounts etc but I need to know about those side brackets if...

Converting bolt-on rock sliders to weld-on

Thanks, yea this is all part of the reason why I brought it up. There are a lot of opinions on it. For how my truck is built now.. yea weld on would be unnecessary. But “eventually” I want to build it out more for rock crawling… right now she’s a grocery getter, mall-runner (not even a...

Converting bolt-on rock sliders to weld-on

I will probably run them as bolt on for a while to start, but eventually I think I’d like to weld them on. Everything I’ve read about rock sliders suggests weld on are better for actual rock sliding and that they can take more of the weight of the vehicle on a rock compared to bolt-ons.

Converting bolt-on rock sliders to weld-on

I picked up some caliraised rock sliders for a great price but ideally I think I’d eventually want them welded on. If I had them welded on, any suggestions on how I should modify them? Should the mounting plates be cut so that the mounting brackets look more like typical weld-on style...

Looking for advice on oil based undercoating/rust prevention

I’ve been very happy with fluid film. I’ve got a guy in Woodbury, CT that does it for me. First time coating is a bit more expensive but they do a very thorough coating low viscosity to get inside all the nooks and crannies then he also does a thick high viscosity coating for a great combo of...
