Stripped brake light wire for fix I had to take out my left brake tail lamp. I found out that the brake light is powered by the wire I outlined in the pic. I stripped the ends with a wire stripper and re-clamped them down. Just sanding and cleaning the connections didn't work for me.

That's perfect. It seems counterintuitive, but I guess for other 4runner owners as well, the bad wheel bearing may make more noise when there is less load on them... So I'll try to change the passenger's side first.
