I had this happen as well. Toytec I believe beefed up this shock on the shaft that broke. Got both mine replaced after 1 broke.

Stay with what you got unless there is something about the suspension you just don't like.

Ordered parts to do the conversion and also having rear trim pieces painted. How much thickness does the fron mud flap/flare add to the inside? Running 285x65r18's and can't spare alot of room but a little.
