High Mileage Purchase. I am in Cal and recently paid $3,000 for a 03 4runner, 2 wheel drive. 220,000 miles. Original engine.

Trace Wires for Starter Kill Switch. On my 2003 4 Runner, I prefer to do this at the starter. I have found a yellow wire at starter which I think can be cut and then put a hidden switch into the cut circuit. I wish I was sure.

me too. I have the exact same problem with 03 4runner.

same problem on my 03, SR5 With 180+ miles I may have fuel pump and sending unit replaced. I know it will be expensive but I want to keep it for a long time. It is in excellent condition. If it is the gage, well, I screwed up then. I would get factory unit.
