    How bad is this?

If you have time ,and its not your daily driver, its possible to repair with soldering similar wire into place as splices. I did this to a shop Ram van V8 3500 years ago. First you need to get comfortable positioned if repair in place is your goal. I fabricated a wide board with padding to lay...

Now you get into the big opinions-side wall flex, side wall cut resistance, tire load carry, tire weight. LT ( C, D, E) and SL and XL. All have a different range of benefits. Do not forget comfort ride on pavenent, washboard, dirt. I found this chart educational.

2019 is the last year before Fed mandated "safety features". Great choice! If you solo camp try a cot, all your gears goes under nicely. I fold the wide 2nd row -set up cot, the other 2nd row seat makes a comfy chair for sitting, dressing etc, just roll onto cot for sleeping. I use variety of...

    Limited tire swap to 17s?

Seems like wheel offset from 17" and 20" is not an issue. Appears it is bolt on and go-nice. More sidewall also helps with road surface bumps absorbed into tire. And more selections of tires. I am looking at vehicles for my wife and large wheels seem to be a promotion point for car makers.

2000 4Runner Won't Start but Cranks after Battery Replacement

Can you hear the fuel pump with key on? Old battery cables can corrode under the insulation. Very hard to troubleshoot unless cable terminal is suspect.

    Help: Manually opening Rear hatch

Perhaps pressing inward on the outside bottom of the hatch (a helpers hand) while manipulating the release levers you exposed in the white latch mechanism. It might release tension on latch? Have you shot some PB blaster into the area between the hatch and frame to get some lube on that fixed...

Causes for slight rpm surges in park/neutral/drive while sitting

In former vehicles that was a sign of IAC valve getting a carbon build up inside it or Throttle Body. Does your truck have an Intake Air Control Valve? I use a bottle of Techron in gas tank every oil change to stay ahead of carbon build up.

    Overland Shovel

For my easy outings on forest roads and BLM lands I have a choice of old surplus "jeep" shovels, crowbar, axe etc. I am not interested in road building but know maybe moving some dirt or rocks can help prevent getting stuck.

    Help: Manually opening Rear hatch

There are a couple threads where owners opened that white actuator and attached a cord so they could have a manual release from inside by pulling the cord. They drilled a hole in the white thing to lead the cord out. There is no lever open to easy access. Mostly for camping. Try searching...

    Selling advise

Seems like a fair offer to me. If you keep it a few more weeks or months you need to keep it up, repair anything that fails, pay insurance etc. If you feel its not enough money - counteroffer to $11,000? It is a 20+ year old vehicle at the end of its life. I sold my 20 year old Pilot, 240,000...
