Old Man Emu N141 Rear Shocks

Set of Old Man Emu N141 Rear Shocks for 4th Gen 4Runner. These shocks were installed but removed one week later (less than 400 miles). No off-road use. Paid $167.90 plus shipping new. They are in the boxes with all hardware. Asking $120 for the set - buyer pays shipping or picks them up...

    Yoko experience?

Mine are rated at 500 as well. I don't know if it is just a softer compound or what?? I would say my driving habits are average and they have been rotated every 5K (I got almost 50K out of the stock Dunlops). I really like the tires but I will probably be looking for a different set in less...

    Yoko experience?

The nitto's tread wear seems to have a lot to do with whether or not they are LT or P rated. Unfortunately if you get the 265/70/17 you have to get their P rated tire. My experience with these was great performance but very fast treadwear. More than 50% already gone after less than a year and...

    Yup, another tire question

The "p" rated Terra Grappler has not done very well for me as far as tread life. It looks to be less than a 30K mile tire at best. Other than that, it has been good.

    Mountain Whip Antenna

Another option would be a magnetic mount. A Wilson 1000 or 5000 mag. mount is a good choice and gets great reception. It can be unsrewed at the base when you need to garage the truck. Just keep a good coat of wax on the paint where the antenna is and be careful when removing it to prevent...

    06 Running Boards Useful?

TRY THIS To Turn OFF VSC!

Ok, I am curious to know if my VCS is even working? I have done the pedal to the floor with the wheel cranked and all I get is a bunch of brake action. I never lose power but I can feel and hear the brakes kicking in to stop wheel spin. I drive a v8.

    Option: Double-decker cargo system

It depends on the load and what I am doing. I use it on big trips where I have a lot of gear. It allows me to access things underneath it that I would otherwise have to unload to get to. I also use it with both seats folded down.....allowing another separation of the cargo area. All of this...

    4th gen timing belt

I have not replaced mine yet but my dealer's price menu says $284.95 to replace timing belt on the v8.

    V8'ers: gas talk

I took it easy on the gas pedal for a while and did not do any towing and I got a read out of 400. It seems like every week I would gain an extra five miles. Since the new tires and lift, I don't pay much attention anymore....

    Towing with a 2006 4 Runner V8

The v8 will have no problems with this! It will probably tow as good as your sierra but the transmission will last longer. I have towed a 19' bass boat and had no problems other than burning a lot of gas!

    Just installed the magnaflow.

Which Flowmaster did you get? What about the famous 2000 RPM drone?

    sulfur smell & redirected exhaust

I turned the pipe out the side and had s.s. tip added for $25, it helps a little......mainly looks better without the big resonator under there. The TSB did help a little more but the stink is still there under heavy throttle.

    '06 Sport Edition V6 or SR5 V8?

Some other things to think about...... Do you plan to tow? The v8 will serve you better for heavier items. Any kind of lift in the future? I may be the exception to this Xreas thing but if I was buying a new one, I would save my money. Simply because it is an expensive item to replace and it...

calling all 4thgen T4Rs, need help!!!

I am not sure what you mean by the "swing arm and other such catastrophes" but there are several folks on this board with lifts on their 4th gens. There are a lot of write-ups and discussions here that would be a benefit to you. This is a great place for such info, along with other forums like...
