What is the problem!!? I tried to do the steps, but every time I put the old key in, the immobilizer light comes on, it goes off when I take it out...I kept going and after the door step, it goes back to flashing. Tried 5 times and stopped due to frustration! Why doesn't my system work? 2006 V8

While the door covers it, it it wraps in from the wheel well, not part of the door...

Love the truck, got it last fall, did the timing belt/water pump, CV, and brakes. 186,000 miles currently and purrs like a kitten.

Just received my 06 today, have exhaust smell in vents, going to a friend's shop to give it a good look. I may be in for some long tubes, it looks like this is still at 14 paid? I also need winter tires and wheels, so I have to set my priorities...ugh

Exhaust smell I just received my 'new to me' 2006 V8, sat in park with the engine on playing with the Bluetooth and was getting knocked out by the exhaust fumes from the vents. Recirc helps, but I guess I need to look at the manifold! Bummer, first mod I guess.
