it sat and i started it up and noticed it so no driving or overheating, never has on me.

i had a buddy with the same issue im having he did his headgaskets and had the heads machined then discovered the heads were cracked. the only "benefit" if you can call it one is if the JDM engine is trash i can get another one without being out $600 or i could go for it and do the headgaskets...

ive seen reman engine but they are about 2k. i dont have that much extra cash laying out right now with planning a wedding. so intake manifolds do need to be swapped then, was your engine out of the same chassis in japan? or a different one? i read that hiace and hilux engine had varying oil...

i believe that is definitely a possibility, the only benefit i have is a long time friend has been importing engine setups locally so if i run into a issue ill have some wiggle room, which is the first thing i had asked him.
