Should have zero effect on remote start modules. All this "switch" does is go to ground when your key is inserted sending a ground signal to the ECM that sounds the buzzer. It's not connected to the door switch, nor does it deactivate the 3 beeps when starting the car.

I drove around with it for 2 days and noticed nothing out of the ordinary, although I have also disabled my seat belt chimes. I'll see what I can find looking into the keyless 4runners, the keyless version will most likely require a wire being cut as there is probably no physical switch.
