I recently purchased a pair of 2002 4Runner headlights from RockAuto for my 1998, they were made of glass.

You'll get poor light output if you keep the '97 bowl and install the newer glass since the '97 bowl is a smooth finish. The newer headlights have reflective lines in the bowl that do the reflecting, instead of the glass like in the older models.

I'm running the 5-spoke 16" wheels, so I don't think clearance would be an issue.

So I have a Base 4Runner, that means I could get the larger 317mm calipers and retain the factory rotors?

~21 MPG in my usual highway / city driving mix. 26 MPG cruising at 70 MPH A/C off. This is with stock 225/75/R15 tires, W59 5-Speed, 3RZ 2WD, stock ride height, just me in it.

May I ask what housing and lens you have on those turn signals? I have a '98 with the orange turn signals and I prefer the crystal clear lens with reflective housing.

Yes sir, I believe only foreign 2.7L 4Runners got the badge. Marlin Crawler sells them on their website.
