You shouldn't need a spacer for the lean if you are not removing the KDSS, as the KDSS will automatically correct the lean ( so I've read). The TRD Pro does not have KDSS and therefore will need a spacer to correct the lean.

Agree on the brake controller, the OP says that his aunt has a stabilizing hitch but am curious if the stabilizer or weight distributing hitch will work with a lifted vehicle. already use a drop down on my hitch ball and would have to lower it more with a lift. Sorry Presa, not trying to...
