thermostat the thermostat will be after the hose running from the bottom of the radiator into the engine. the top hose is the return line.

I have a 97 4Runner with the 5VZ-FE engine. It has a front and a rear heater unit. The front isn't blowing hot air but the rear is. Any suggestions on what to check first? Is the plumbing for the front and rear heaters in series or parallel? Thanks
