An inch is pretty close. Since the armor is an add-on I'd guess the measurement was done before installation.

2014 TE P 2 Issues 1. 3 Nav/Radio reboots while driving. 2. Yellow alert light flickered twice after starting up. Too fast to catch the message but I suspect it held over after disengaging the parking break. Will report more if anything else happens.

Have you considered measuring and fabricating something to cover the gap? How often do you plan to use the 3rd row?

I believe it's something the dealer gives out. Not Toyota.
