You may want to research the factory starter..i posted a link below...apparently once the vehicle is started...then the door is opened..the vehicle engine stops...so you have to restart it again....that was a show stopper for me..and made no sense... i had an after market starter...

i have the same question/concern...i average ~5000 miles per year...if oil is only changed at 10k interval...im looking at two full years between changes...that doesn't seem good?...what are others thoughts?...this is my first vehicle with synthetic..i don't know if it is meant to last 2...

i agree with original poster...tho..my previous vehicle was a car...so i figured the cabin size was much smaller to heat up...ive never had an suv to compare with... i have a remote starter...after usually 10-15 minutes warm up...i get in to drive..and still need full heat and full...

That is a shame...Ive had various aftermarket remote starts over the years...all of them had adjustable/programmed default run-times...after which the engine shut off, if the key is not inserted...usually between 12 to 20 minutes. i also wonder how long it would have to run for it to become...

I have aftermarket..and my security light does not flash when the key is in the ignition and im driving. When i had mine installed, they required me to bring BOTH of my keys to the install...i assume they use them to program something...i was given both keys back ...so there was not a key...

when your not used to doing for the past 12 years...its seem to be a 'burden' now to me....lol :) one thing you can do...is ALWAYS leave the headlights on..if you want....since they shut off automatically...you can 'set it and forget it'....i dont chose to do that...but, its an option.

i agree....my 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix had the sensor too...about a $22k vehicle back then.
