That would make sense, but I asked the shop who did the install (they do about 100 of these a week) and they said they definitely put the driver on the driver side and passenger on the passenger side. I tried to look myself but couldn't see any labeling or...
Here are some pictures just to get an idea of where everything sits. It's very deceiving on camera, but the driver side is lower in the front and the passenger is higher in the rear.
