    Should I sell my 4runner??

I work in the Bay Area every couple of months, but I live in NC. My advice, MOVE. Gas is over $4 a gallon in many places. California is never going to be "more free." The coastal cities simply have too much power over the conservative interior. I would seriously consider a...

    Airbag replaced!!

Took about 4 hours. Apparently they had never done one before. But, FYI, parts are available.

    I really don't understand the 4Runner's engine/tranmission situation.

I get 16.5 in the city, and 24 highway. On stock size BFG AT KO2s, at 70mph. I like all of the 6 cylinders to be working all the time and, I get PT 4WD. That said, how many first generation Tahoes, circa 1992, do you still see on the road? Few, if any. Where I live, I see 1st and 2nd Gen 4Rs...

Has anyone had their passenger airbag replaced under recall?

Spoke to the dealer today and they said they could have the parts here Monday. But, they have never done one before. Have you had the work done, what was your experience and how long did it take?

    Anyone else have this issue?

Nope. Take it through car washes all the time. Sometimes the touchless found at gas stations, sometimes the full touch AutoBell types. Never any problem. If the vehicle can't take a simple car wash, there's a build problem.

    Millennial Adventure Box

Oh, they are doing it to save money, but not for the reasons you suppose, simply saving money. It's a much more complex issue. Twenty-five percent neither work, or go to school. The majority have a high school education or less. Twenty percent have at least one child...

    Charlotte, NC, Area Shop Recommendations?

Bill Fisher in Indian Trail. General mechanic but nothing you mention is out of his realm. Nice guy, used him for all my auto work, for years, when I lived in CLT.
