Thanks everyone. Still not sure why it cracked. Everything is stock.

I have been noticing some clunking while driving for the past couple of days. So I decided to check underneath the vehicle to see my rear actuator has cracked. I have not used 4WD since last winter. Any reason why it cracked before I replace it? And is it simple to replace? Thanks.

So I was spraying Fluid Film underneath my 1999 Limited, and when I got to the rear passenger control arm mount I noticed it's started to rust away. I've done a lot if work myself over the time on the Runner, but welding is not my expertise and would like someone who knows what they're doing. So...

I managed to get it. I used a 24" breaker bar coming up the miđdle from the rear... :wink2:

It is the center 19mm bolt

I don't have any air tools :redbrick:

It's the 19mm one. The one that's behind the rack if you were looking from the rear. You have to get it from the top and there's very limited clearance.

It's only been sitting in PB Blaster for half a day. I've tried using a normal wrench and a breaker bar. I tried by going through the passenger wheel well, but I just don't have enough clearance to make it budge. I've even removed my sway bar but still no luck.

I just can't seem to find a way to break loose the center bolt on the power steering rack. I am replacing the bushings with ones I got from Wheeler's. Does anyone have any suggestions?? Thanks in advance. :bigok:
